MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)
It is the most popular Degree program in medical line. The Medical Council of India regulates the Course.

This is an Undergraduate Program of five years duration, including of one year internship. This is the only professional program of dental surgery in India. The admission conditions stipulate that the students should have passed the 10+2 examination with science stream and have had Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English in 12th stream; and also pass the Entrance Exams conducted. This also is an Undergraduate Course coming under the Medical stream. This course is becoming more attractive, as people are also believing in a treatment with no side effects.
The Degree is awarded after 4.5 years of class studies and 1 year of internship.
Here again, the admission is for Science stream students, passed 12 with Chemistry, Physics and Biology, with 50% marks, and who come into the relvant ranking in Entrance Examinations.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. B.A.M.S.
It is also an undergraduate course which is awarded after successful completion of a five and a half years program.
The Course is open to Science stream students after completing 12th. Those with Sanskrit will have an added advantage as the Course contents also include Sanskrit as a subject, as many of the resources are in that language.
The duration of BAMS is 5½ years including internship.

Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS)
An Undergraduate Course on Alternative System of Medicine, with a scope for Post graduate and Ph D levels.
